About Me
I have worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant in the manufacturing industry. My business training came from a two-year specialized, intensive course in high school, the equivalent of a business college education at the time. I later took courses at Hocking College in Business Management.
I design and maintain websites and work with others to set up their Internet presence on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. I have a natural talent for editing as well as for organizing scattered information into a cohesive and easily understandable form.
I completed a two-year course in writing for children as well as other writing courses and seminars over the years. I wrote a fictional novelette (out of print) and have contributed writings to the Hocking Hills Messenger, a monthly newspaper, and other online websites. I am a history hobbyist, a freelance writer, and a former American History Examiner and a Haunted Places Examiner at examiner.com.
Most recently, I wrote a creative writing series called "My Dear Mrs. Salt" which was published in the Hocking Hills Messenger but ended in May, 2021. I've moved it online at Hocking Hills and Me so I can keep my creative juices flowing.
I am also a certified interpretive guide and docent at a zoo. I have completed training to be an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist.
Perfectus Publications LLC is a venture which I am developing to publish eBooks, print books and related publications. I am currently ghostwriting a book for a client.
I consider myself to be a book hoarder and information addict. I love mysteries as well as that which we know. Add to this, two fabulous children and the sweetest dog in the world.
I have been a Christian for many years and am the Corresponding Secretary for a Secular Discalced Carmelite community. I have made a temporary promise and am going into year four of formation in this community. I also post things that God is saying to me on a blog called Ailieciel and record my experiences in the Christian life on my YouTube Channel at Sharon K. Grossman. (See my links.) God has surely blessed me and my ultimate goal is to live completely within His Beautiful Will.
I try to keep up with everything I can which often results in a house needing a much needed cleaning but no time or energy to do it. Oh well, I always say, "I'll get around to it one of these days." (Quote made famous by Pa Kettle.)
